Eastern Panhandle Traffic Net script (starts at or about 6:45pm) Good evening. This is ________, net control station for the Eastern Panhandle Traffic Net. My name is ________ and I am located ________. This is a directed, local level, training net of the National Traffic System serving the entire Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. We meet every weeknight at 6:45pm in order to coordinate local traffic with cycle 4 of the NTS. (release the PTT and wait for the courtesy tone) When checking in, please use the "This is" protocol for checking in to directed nets. Checking in this way reduces the chances of doubling. (release the PTT and wait for the courtesy tone) The Eastern Panhandle Traffic Net is now open for stations with emergency, priority, or health and welfare traffic. (Handle in order of priority on frequency) (release the PTT and pause for at least 5 seconds after the squelch tail) Are there any section net liaison stations on frequency? (release the PTT and pause for at least 5 seconds after the squelch tail) The net is now open for stations with formal message traffic. Stations with traffic, please call now. (release the PTT and pause for at least 5 seconds after the squelch tail) All other stations wishing to check in to the EPTN, please call now. (release the PTT and pause for at least 5 seconds after the squelch tail) (if no one has checked in after 20 seconds, jump to line 5 and continue from there to bottom) (if traffic has been brought to the net, read and follow lines 1, 2, and 4 only; if not, read and follow lines 3 and 4) 1. OK, net holds traffic for ________. Do we have any takers? (pass traffic) 2. Having passed all listed traffic, we will now go for a round of short comments. 3. Having no listed traffic, we will now go for a round of short comments. 4. (using check-in list) ________, please give us a comment. (repeat until bottom of list is reached, obeying the 10-minute rule for ID'ing) This will be the last call for late or missed stations, with or without traffic. (release the PTT and pause for at least 5 seconds after the squelch tail) ---------- 5 ---------- This completes this session of the Eastern Panhandle Traffic Net. Thank you to everyone who checked in as well as those who stood by to give us a clear operating frequency. Thanks also to WB8YZV for allowing us to use this repeater.
